libcpan-mini-perl software package provides module for creating a minimal mirror of CPAN, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcpan-mini-perl
libcpan-mini-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcpan-mini-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcpan-mini-perl *
You will get with libcpan-mini-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
